Privacy Policy

Screenshot → ChatGPT Analyzer lets you capture a screenshot of your browser tab and analyze it with AI. The Extension offers two plans:

• Free plan — you supply your own OpenAI API key. No account required. All data stays local.
• Pro plan — a managed API proxy handles requests on your behalf. Requires account creation and a $3.99/month subscription.

This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected under each plan, how it is used, and your rights.

2.1 Free Plan — Local Only

On the Free plan the Extension collects no personal data. The following is stored exclusively on your device in Chrome's local storage:

• Your OpenAI API key
• Your selected model and optional system prompt
• The last screenshot (preview only)
• The last analysis result

None of this is transmitted to the developer or any third party except OpenAI when you explicitly trigger an analysis.

2.2 Pro Plan — Account & Authentication

To use the Pro plan you create an account. We collect and store:

• Email address — used to identify your account and send transactional emails (e.g., billing receipts)
• Authentication tokens — access and refresh tokens stored locally in Chrome to maintain your session
• Plan status and usage quota — your current plan (Free/Pro) and analyses used this billing period

Account data is stored securely in Supabase (see Section 4).

2.3 Pro Plan — Screenshots Sent to Managed Proxy

When you trigger an analysis on the Pro plan, your screenshot is sent to our managed API proxy at screenshot-analyzer-api.vercel.app. The proxy:

• Verifies your authentication token
• Forwards the screenshot and prompt to OpenAI on your behalf
• Returns the text result to the Extension
• Does not store screenshots or prompts — they are processed in memory and discarded

2.4 Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or billing address. Stripe provides us with a customer ID and subscription status only.

Data is used exclusively to provide the Extension's core functionality:

• Capturing and analyzing screenshots using AI
• Authenticating your account and enforcing your plan quota (Pro)
• Processing your subscription payment (Pro)

Your data is never used for advertising, analytics, behavioral profiling, or sale to third parties.

OpenAI API

Screenshots and prompts are sent to OpenAI for analysis. On the Free plan this uses your own API key; on the Pro plan it goes through our proxy. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

Supabase (Pro plan)

Account data (email, plan status, quota) is stored in Supabase, a cloud database platform. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.

Stripe (Pro plan)

Subscription billing is handled by Stripe under their PCI-compliant infrastructure. We only receive a Stripe customer ID and subscription status. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Google OAuth (optional, Pro plan)

You may sign in with Google. Google shares only your email address for account creation. No other profile data is accessed. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Free plan: all data is local and deleted when you remove the Extension.

Pro plan:

• Your account (email, plan status, quota) is retained in Supabase while active
• Screenshots are not stored — processed in transit only
• Subscription records are retained by Stripe as required by financial regulations

To delete your account and all associated data, email support@moorishtechnologies.com. We will remove your account within 30 days and cancel any active subscription.

• All communication uses HTTPS / TLS
• Authentication tokens are stored in Chrome's local storage, inaccessible to web pages
• Our proxy verifies your token on every request before forwarding to OpenAI
• No remote code execution — all extension scripts are packaged locally
• The Extension requests only the minimum permissions required

The Extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the new version will be posted here and noted in the Chrome Web Store listing. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
